Lakme Fashion Week is a showcase of India’s best designer talent that comes together to create legendary runway moments each season. Every collection is the best presentation of the season’s trends. This season had many great fashion moments and some to be particular stunned us!
The highlight of the Summer/Resort collection at Lakme Fashion Week 2020 has to be PRINTS! Prints may not be your go-to trend but it is definitely the “IT” trend this summer and we cannot deny we love them too! Prints are the gateway to keeping less on the layers and focusing more on the outfit statement. And as summer demands, less is more; it’s an absolute win-win situation here. Below are some of our favorite designer collections for the Spring/Summer’20.
P.S – We also have an off the runway favorite designer collection in the end for you!
Rajdeep Rananwat’s collection BALI, gave us a rich experience of the Indonesian culture with his designs. Rajdeep’s collection was deeply inspired by the crafts of Bali, the motifs of Indonesian fabrics in pure silk and satin. The motif on silk fabric is a great representation of the rich culture of Bali. The silhouettes are light and easy perfect for our summer fashion. Our favorite outfit from the collection has to be the rich red motif lehenga with a red bustier and jacket. Ladies, take notes for your summer looks, boho chic jewelry is back on the runway, jewelry adorned with shells by Ritika Sachdeva.
This Gen Next designer made an entry in the Lakme Fashion Week 2018. Mohammed Mazhar’ s Summer/Resort’ 20 collections is called JEENSAAZ, a community that makes saddle for a horse. It’s all black and white and yet so eye-catching with the designs that Mohammed brings to life. Exaggerated sleeves, corsets, and quirky art motifs Mohammed’s collection is a great new twist to the Summer/Resort fashion.
