“Hey, what’s new?”
The true and representative definition of Fashion is products that are “trendy”. It is pertinent for every designer or a brand to curate a trend as it aids in impelling people. Though some of the designers like Ritu Kumar or Sabyasachi are capable of inspiring people through their name itself. Some designers have taken a different root. Youth and millennials easily get persuaded through the styles and appearances of Bollywood stars in the movies. It is not just the storyline that has made us give them 4 or 5 stars but their outfits play a major role in alluring people. Here, it is not just highlighting beautiful and captivating designs of female celebrities but of men as well. Be it Ranveer Singh or Arjun Kapoor or Akshay Kumar, men don’t leave any opportunity to copy their styles and flaunt It out.
Reminiscence of the old era
Dev Anand, a famous hero who has won all hearts of the previous generation, can never be disremembered. He was famous for his exceptional acting as well as the noteworthy dressing style he used to sustain. One among the illustrious and startling styles was his tilted cap. Not only that, but his hairstyle has transmuted the hairstyle of our grandfather and father too. He is counted among famous stars who have changed the language of fashion.
Rab ne Bana di Jodi
Bollywood never fails to make us remind us that it is time to change our style. We all remember this movie for a funny story, dual characters, and of course SRK. Apart from that, the categorization of one man in two characters has appalled us. Since that movie has been released, it has changed our mindset i.e. a simple white shirt and pant reflects a boring man while a quirky and vibrant t-shirt with ripped jeans makes men look “Cool” (WINK!) The fun fact- this get-up is still a part of the wardrobe for many men.
Kal Ho na Ho
It is not just the western style we have copied from Bollywood but the ethnic and traditional as well. Kal Ho Na Ho which resides in everyone’s heart is difficult to ignore while talking about Bollywood. Fashion attires in this movie were subtle and modern. However, there comes the time when we get an eye on splendid ethnic attires that Saif-Ali Khan and Shah Rukh Khan were spotted in. It was comfy, loose, and classy!
Ranveer Singh
There are a plethora of styles of Ranveer Singh that have inspired men ( nobody can do it better than him itself). From his hairstyle in Ram-Leela to his Simba’s innocent look. We have loved it all. Ranveer’s Ram-Leela attire was an inspiration to many men out there. Especially, people from nearby areas of Rajasthan have posted pictures in the same outfits.
In conclusion, Bollywood has been an inspiration for many out there. From Barber to a businessman, they all tend to follow what their favorite celebrities wear. Many brands have established their catalogs in a sense that reflects the outfits of Bollywood stars. In India, Bollywood- was, is, and always stay as a source that unveils “new trend” for men.
