The great Diana Vreeland, style influencer and conjurer of fashion’s most insightful words, said, “I’ve never met a leopard print I didn’t like.” Having seen some pretty frightful ones, we might disagree, but the truth is leopard patterns (the right kind) is a style classic no less than the LBD. From Jayne Mansfield’s skinny pants in Circa to Audrey Hepburn’s pointed hat in Charade, the motif has always been a celeb favourite.
For fall-winter 2015, we spotted it on the runways courtesy the likes of MiuMiu, Louis Vuitton, and Dior and in the stores of every major high street brand. From maximal ensembles to understated accessories, there’s a feline motif for every occasion and style statement.
