On the 9th of March, fashion enthusiasts across the city gathered at 1MG-Lido Mall to celebrate the grand opening of H&M’s second store in Bangalore. The Swedish retail giant known for its affordable fashion had nearly two hundred fashionista’s queued up in front of the store eager to take a look at the new collection.
The inauguration saw the presence of the senior leadership team of H&M India, further underscoring the importance that they place on the Bangalore market in their India strategy. Janne Einola-Country Manager India, cut the ribbon along with Area Manager –Mikko Alatalo and Store Manager –Ajay Chahal .
Spread across two floors, the store displayed a range of fashion and accessories for women, men and kids. From sporty casuals to structured blazers, H&M has something for every one. With the latest styles of jeans and sneakers displayed on the shelves, like that Gondola Shelving, and trending ensembles draped on the mannequins, shopping is inevitable. The store showcased their latest spring-summer collection, complete with comfortable, gorgeous silhouettes and the latest trends. With military colours, athleisure outfits, over-sized silhouettes and structured cuts, this new collection is all you need to get that comfortable yet chic vibe this summer. The velvet tank top paired with a ripped denim skirt, the oversized cropped hoodie, the military athleisure look complete with stunning boots and ‘the weeknd’ inspired looks were just some of our favorites.
With the queue stretching out to the first level of the mall, each and every one of the customers looked forward to the opening sale and gift vouchers. Three lucky fashionista’s who made their way to the beginning of the queue won a gift card of Rs. 10,000 , Rs.7,000 and Rs. 5,000 respectively. Free H&M Shopping worth Rs. 5000 was also awarded to three special ladies who won the ‘Girl Power’ contest, in their chic pastel outfits.
