2020, The Year of Designer Revolution

2020 starts on a great note as the fashion industry is always surprising us with the next big thing. Unlike the previous eras fashion is no more bound to certain principles, fashion is now more fluid and consumer friendly. The fashion industry is moving forward at a rapid growth today. It’s the age of millennial, fashion is quick, fashion is more environmental conscious and fashion is easily available to everybody.

Earlier accessibility to designer wear was only available to a part of the society, but in the world of social media and the age of millennial trends are readily available to all. Designers are coming out their way to reach to a larger audience with their Pret line, giving us the opportunity to wear their designs readily available in a budget. Here are a few of our favourites from this month –

H&M x Sabyasachi

For the lovers of Sabyasachi would’ve guessed by our words. Sabyasachi Mukherjee, the master of Indian couture, whose clothes stun and stand out in the world of fashion. His clothes are nothing less than a piece of art. But as he goes by the tag of couturier, his clothes are only available to a limited part of the society in monetary terms. On the other hand H&M is a globally renowned high street brand known for their easy accessibility to the latest fashion. H & M is also known for their collaborations with luxury designers where fashion meets art. You can live your designer dream through such collaborations and that’s why the Sabyasachi x H & M is a dream come true for every girl who waited to own her own Sabyasachi piece.

Sabyasachi’s designs and H & M clothes is a revolutionary moment and a fabulous start of the year 2020! This collection will hit the store on April 16th. We’re stoked and cannot wait to get our hands on this collection.

MASABA’s ‘I Will Wear Out Plastic’ collection

We cannot believe this just happened! A collection focused to cut out plastic and raise awareness through clothing? Hands down! We love it when fashion doesn’t come at the cost of hampering nature and is making smarter decisions for the fore coming future.

What is Masaba’s Collection about?

The future is sustainability and that’s how Masaba stirs a fashion revolution with this first of it’s kind in Indian fashion industry. She aims to kill the usage of plastic bags in our daily lives and in-evidently attaches them to our clothing, which can be detached anytime seamlessly. The bags may be attached to drapes, skirts, sleeve or as a bow in your dress and one cannot even tell if it exists.

The collection is just as cool as the concept as she adds draped saris, palazzo sets, dresses and many such enticing styles to her collection. This collection is in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme, makes us more inclined towards this collection when it comes with a global cause.

Ancestry X Payal Pratap Singh

The Ancestry store is a new age brand with ethical ideas. Their collection comes off with a minimalistic approach and sets the tone right with their contemporary aesthetics. Their recent collaboration with renowned India designer, Payal Pratap Singh, has thrilled us all!

The mélange of a brand with a designer is always a great one as it brings two opposites come on the same platform and create something revolutionary. Their collection includes dhoti sets, fluid jackets, breezy kurta sets and many more sensational pieces we could not take our eyes off. Their collection is all about, fresh new silhouettes in pastel colours and minimalistic floral design for the festive season. These breezy outfits are sure to be on our summer wedding season list.

We love how 2020 has welcomed us and made the fashion world shine bright with exciting collaboration and sustainable initiatives. If you loved them too, tell us which collaboration is your favourite.
