Last Minute Valentine’s Day Ideas on a Budget

Love is in the air! Well, at least that’s what this week calls for. It’s time to treat your significant other with hugs, kisses and gifts to celebrate this special day .Speaking of celebration, expectations may be high but we all know it’s just another excuse to spend money on fancy and materialistic things. Well, worry not! You don’t really have to spend all your money to make the day special. You just need to go a little crafty to show your boo that you don’t need to break the bank to express your love.

BREAKFAST IN BED

Wake your other half up with breakfast in bed. Make their morning special with something fancy yet doable at home. Extra points for any food you can make in a heart shape, like eggs, or bread. Here are few ideas for you.

WRITE LOVE NOTES

Write down your favourite love quotes, short poems or something that depicts your story and keep them in places where it can be found easily. Like in the office bag, or on the bathroom mirror, or in the car.

RELIVE YOUR MEMORIES

Print out photos from moments you have shared in the past. Make them into a scrap book with notes and scribbles describing each picture. You can also make a collage or hang them on the wall so that you both can look back on all the good times.

FEEL LIKE A GETAWAY?

Take the day off and go for a quick drive or ride around the city. Take some time out to give yourselves some break and just relax. Pack your lunch and go to a nearby picnic spot. You can also book a budget resort for a day and spend your time with your guy/girl away from the hustle bustle.

GET CREATIVE AROUND YOUR HOUSE

Make your home the perfect romantic place to snuggle up. Fill up every little space with something red. You can blow up balloons with notes inside or hang small gifts and chocolates from hydrogen balloons. Decorate your dinner table with roses and candles.
