Home-made Face packs to fight off stubborn suntans

The summer season is about to arrive and everyone must be waiting for the long vacations and many of you must have booked your tickets already in advance. But vacationing under the scorching sun comes with its own pros and cons. There’s a wide difference between a perfectly sun-kissed skin and stubborn suntan which leads to unappealing, dull skin. While there are a plethora of tan-removal products available in the market, do keep in mind that no matter what, every single product is filled with a ton of chemicals that may lead to skin irritations or allergies if used directly on the sun-tanned skin. So here we are with few home remedies to save your soul from the stubborn suntans. Without further ado, read on! 

1) Sugar, Glycerin and Lemon face Pack 

What You Need

  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon glycerin

Squeeze lemon juice in a bowl; add sugar and glycerin to it. Mix it well and apply this pack onto your skin. Massage gently in an upward motion and continue scrubbing for at least 3-4 minutes. After rubbing the sugar granules, rinse off with water and pat dry.

Use this face pack twice a week.


2) Banana Face Pack

What You Need

  • 1 teaspoon mil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ banana

Mash the banana perfectly so that no lumps remain. Add milk and lemon juice into it. Mix well and apply this pack on the concerned area and let it dry for about 15 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry. You can apply this pack on skin twice a week for better results.


3) Gram Flour (Besan) For Tanned Skin: 

What You Need

  • 2-3 tablespoons of gram flour (Besan)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Pinch of turmeric

Mix the ingredients properly in a bowl to get a smooth paste. Apply a thick layer of this paste on your face and other tanned areas; let it dry for approximately 10-12 minutes. Rinse it off with lukewarm water and pat dry. For better results and visibly glowing skin apply this pack twice a week on your face.


4) Yogurt Face Pack:

What You Need

 

  • 2 tablespoons of yogurt (Dahi)
  • 1 teaspoon of honey

Mix the two ingredients and make a thick paste. Apply this paste on your skin. Let it stay for 15 minutes and rinse it off with tepid water. Repeat this every alternative day to get better results.


5) Fuller’s Earth (Multani Mitti) Face Pack: 

What You Need

 

  • 2 tablespoons of fuller’s earth
  • 1 tablespoon tomato juice
  • ½ teaspoon sandalwood powder
  • Rosewater

Mix all the ingredients properly with adequate rose water to maintain the consistency level and obtain a thick paste. Evenly apply the paste on to your skin, reapply another thick layer if you need it. Wait for 15 minutes before rinsing it off. 

You can also use coconut oil in place of tomato juice to make the face pack. For better results and gorgeous glowing skin apply this face pack once or twice a week.
